Q. Is a deposit required at the time of reservation?
A. Online reservations require a deposit of one night plus tax. This will automatically be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation.

Q. What time is check-in and check-out?
A. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Late departures may incur additional charges.

Q. Is there a pool at the Cherry Tree?
A. Yes. We do have a heated indoor pool and hot tub.

Q. Does the Cherry Tree offer continental breakfast?
A. Yes, we offer a complimentary continental breakfast daily from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. It includes coffee and juices, doughnuts and pastries, bagels and English muffins, toast and hard-boiled eggs, and fresh fruits and yogurt.

Q. Is the Cherry Tree located on the water?
A. Yes. We are located right on East Grand Traverse Bay.

Q. Will my room have a direct view of the lake?
A. A majority of our rooms at the hotel overlook the water. Please see our floorplans page to find which rooms are on water and which are off.

Q. How close is the Cherry Tree to downtown Traverse City?
A. We are located about seven minutes by car from the downtown district.

Q.What amenities are included with my room?
A. Every room comes complete with a Sony Playstation 2 Game/DVD Player, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, television, telephone, hair dryer and an in-room safe.

Q. Are watercrafts available for rental?
A. All watercraft can be rented from Blue Sky Rentals, located on our sandy beach.

Q. Are pets allowed at Cherry Tree?
A. Pets are not allowed at the Cherry Tree, but we are happy to provide the contact information of "pet hotels".

Q. Is smoking allowed at Cherry Tree?
A. Cherry Tree is a completely smoke-free facility. Violations of this policy will result in a cleaning charge of $250.00.

Q. Is there a restaurant or bar located inside Cherry Tree?
A. No, but there are several eateries located within walking or short driving distance.

Q. What is Cherry Tree's cancellation policy? How do I cancel a reservation?
A. Please make cancellations at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Reservations made online will be subject to a cancellation fee of $25.

If your room is not rented, you will be charged the full cost of the first night. If the room is re-rented, your deposit will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $25 for online reservations. To cancel a reservation, please call (231) 938-8888.

Q. Is Internet access available?
A. Yes, every room has complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access.

Q. Does Cherry Tree honor affiliation discounts?
A. We offer a Senior AARP or AAA discount of 10 percent.

Q. May I rent movies from Cherry Tree?
A. Yes, over 350 movies and games are available for rent at our front desk.

Q. Do you charge extra for kids?
A. Two children up to the ages of 17 may stay in the same room for free. Any third or fourth child in the room will be charged $10.

Q. Is there an extra charge for extra persons?
A. Yes, any third or fourth adult will be charged $10.

Q. Are rollaways available?
A. Yes, although they can only be placed in standard rooms. There is a $15 charge for the extra person charge.

Q. Do you have DVDs or VCRs?
A. We have Sony Play Station 2's in every room. They play DVDs as well as video games.

Q. What does your standard room consist of?
A. There is nothing standard about our standard room! Two queen-size beds, a comfortable sitting area and a private balcony are included in the room.

Every room includes a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, Sony Playstation 2 Game/DVD System, hair dryer, bathroom telephone and television, ironing board and iron, safe and complimentary free high-speed wireless Internet.

Q. When is the Cherry Festival.
A. The Cherry Festival begins the first Saturday in July and lasts one full week.

Q. Are there places to eat nearby?
A. Yes, there are plenty of places to eat within the area. Cuisine includes Italian, Mexican, Chinese and family-style restaurants.

Q. How close is Cherry Tree from Interlochen Arts Academy?
A. It is about a half an hour drive to Interlochen. The Arts Academy is known for its annual summer concert series.

Q. How close is Cherry Tree to the casino?
A. We are approximately 10-minutes from Turtle Creek Casino.
